We're had several of these grinders over the years and this center piece seem to have a little paint loss in this area. This one is extremely nice, no doubt, the grinder is used see the first photo near the on and off switch. Like anything half a century old it just isn't going to be 100% perfect. Both panes of the original safety glass are in nice shape. These are around 5" square and very impressive. A very nice sounding hum, the sound of a perfect machine that's elated to be turned on and ready to do some work. more torque coming alive you also can't ignore how smooth and quiet it runs. Not like the over-rated values given to today's big box store import grinders. At this point in the block grinder's history the commercial versions were called Industrial Rated grinders but they're the same thing.
This is a Commercial grinder with the capacitor start motor and beefier internals. The date stamp on this grinder is January 31. For the money there are no better grinders available and you can expect them to run for a ridiculously long time generations and generations.
